WHO IS A NOTARY?
A Notary is a qualified lawyer a public officer and a member of the third and oldest branch of the legal profession in the United Kingdom. A Notary in England & Wales has many of the same responsibilities as a Notary in Civil Law European countries.
WHAT DOES A NOTARY DO?
A Notary prepares and executes under his official seal and signature all types of public and private documents for use abroad and ensures full compliance with all legal requirements. A Notary keeps a full record in his register of the instrument formalised in his presence. The Notary may also deal with Conveyancing, Wills, Probate, and Company and Commercial matters in England and Wales
THE DUTY OF A NOTARY?
The duty of a Notary involves a high standard of care which extends not only toward the client but also to anyone who may rely on the document prepared or attested by him and to governments or officials of other countries.
